Empowerment Zone tax benefits, which expired in 2017, have been retroactively renewed for 2018, 2019, and 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/amendments-rules.house.gov\/amendments\/HWC_103_xml1217190022572257.pdf\">HERE<\/a> to read the bill.<\/p>\n<p>Employers take note: The extenders bill would reinstate the <strong>employer credit for paid family and medical leave<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>work opportunity credit<\/strong>. Both were slated to expire in 2019 but would be re-upped through 2020.<\/p>\n<p>A few additional renewed tax incentives that may interest our readers include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work Opportunity Tax Credit<\/li>\n<li>Empowerment Zone tax incentives<\/li>\n<li>Indian employment credit<\/li>\n<li>American Samoa economic development credit<\/li>\n<li>Employer credit for paid family and medical leave<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amendments-rules.house.gov\/amendments\/HWC_103_xml1217190022572257.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>\u00a0to read the bill and see the entire list.<\/p>\n<p>The House passed this measure today as part of a year-end spending bill.
