Reports To: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Salary Range: $120,000 – $160,000 (Full Time)
Bonus: 15-30% performance-based

Position Overview

The Director of Business Development will spearhead initiatives to identify and secure new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and drive overall sales performance. This role combines strategic vision, tactical execution, and leadership, with responsibility for overseeing a team of 1-6 professionals. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to refine strategies and ensure alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Growth & Business Development
  • Craft and implement comprehensive business development strategies to meet and exceed revenue and growth objectives.
  • Identify emerging markets, new client segments, and partnership opportunities aligned with WOTC.com’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support long-term growth.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics, adapting strategies accordingly.
  1. Sales Leadership & Execution
  • Lead and mentor the business development team, fostering a culture of high performance.
  • Create impactful sales materials, proposals, and presentations tailored to prospective clients.
  • Drive alignment between sales and marketing strategies to enhance lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Establish KPIs and regularly report sales performance to the CRO and executive leadership.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Technology, Finance) to align strategies and ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery.
  • Communicate client feedback to product teams, influencing the development of market-relevant offerings.
  • Act as a liaison to enhance collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  1. Contract Negotiation & Closing
  • Lead high-stakes contract negotiations with a focus on securing win-win outcomes.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through closing.
  • Achieve and maintain high conversion rates and cost-effective acquisition metrics.
  1. Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting
  • Leverage CRM platforms and analytics to refine business development strategies and optimize sales processes.
  • Deliver insightful reports on sales activities, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts.
  • Use data insights to continuously improve team performance and client acquisition strategies.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven success in business development or sales roles, with a strong track record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing complex sales cycles.
  • Superior communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and data analytics to drive performance insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on results and innovation.

Familiarity with sales methodologies and best practices.
